[Slapt-get-devel] apt spy variant

Thank you for the prompt response.

Here is the concept so far....

1. When the mirror finding option is launched it will ask for the continent
you would like to search for mirrors (some continents such as South America
and Africa have little it not any mirrors available).

2. Ask whether you want to use the packages for your current version or use
slackware-current (keep the results in a variable)

2. Download the current mirror lists for slackware.com mirrors and
linuxpackages.net mirrors from a designated webserver.

3. Send a single ping to all servers listed in your selected continent and
record the value.

4. Find and append the lowest values greater than 0 for slackware.com and
linuxpackages.net to the slapt-getrc file (the append will add the download
directory information with the installed slackware version for
linuxpackages.net and the current version or slackware-current, as selected
by the user for slackware.com).

Attached is the mirror lists Icreated for linuxpackages.net mirrors. The
format is continent, pingable server, download directory.

Please let me know if this idea sounds good, or if any additional steps need
to be added.

Thanks,
Matt
