[Slapt-get-user] update-notifier Error

Just a little bit more information to help you solve the problem. It seems
to only break when using a current mirror, because when I switched back to
the normal slackware 10 mirror everything worked as planned.

This brings me to another question, I thought that 'current' is always
supposed to be more updated than the regular stable branch, hence the name.
If this is so, why is it that when I switched to my 10 mirror, all of a
sudden it says I have 3 packages that need updating ( mozilla-plugins,
mozilla, gaim).  These 3 packages do *not* show up when I use a current
mirror to --update/--dist-upgrade off of.  Just curious why this is so.
