Hmm...  you will have to delete /var/slapt-get/.ftp* and get rid of that poisoned cache.
I need to look into a way to clean out those cached sources.... but it doesn't make sense to do
it with --clean, or maybe it does.  
Maybe others on the list can chime in on the expected behaviour.
